The hand piece has a piezoelectric transducer (320) including a distal part (332) i.e. amplifier, a proximal part (330) i.e. counter weight and a piezoelectric motor (322). The motor is arranged between the parts, and transmits ultrasound waves to an ultrasonic insert. An electrically insulating element i.e. distal element (342a), is provided between the motor and the distal part. Another insulating element i.e. proximal element (342b), is provided between the motor and the proximal part of the transducer. The elements are made of sintered ceramic, zirconium, composite and/or alumina. An independent claim is also included for a system comprising a hand piece and a measurement apparatus for receiving an electric signal from a sensor.
