<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing device which can secure for a long time, the amount of gas radiation enough to effectively contribute to restraining spreading of a fire that has broken out in a refuse storage box. <P>SOLUTION: The fire extinguishing device 10 for a refuse collecting vehicle 1 includes a high pressure gas container 11 filled with fire extinguishing gas at high pressure, and a flow regulating device 20 provided on connection piping 15 connecting a gas radiation nozzle 14 for radiating the fire extinguishing gas into the refuse storage box 2, and having an inflow port and an outflow port of the fire extinguishing gas. The flow regulating device 20 includes a tubular body 21, and a movable member 22 movably disposed on an internal passage 26 of the tubular body 21. While the inflow pressure into the inflow port 20a of the fire extinguishing gas ejected from the high pressure gas container 11 has a predetermined value or more, the movable member 22 is stopped in a first position on the internal passage 26 to form a first gas passage B1 for allowing a fixed amount of fire extinguishing gas to flow through, and when the inflow pressure of the fire extinguishing gas into the inflow port 20a is lower than the predetermined value, the movable member 22 moves from the first position into a second position to further form a second gas passage B2 for increasing the flow amount of the fire extinguishing gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
