PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain a taxane-type compound while maintaining an environment by carrying out extraction, isolation and purification using the needle leaf part of Taxus cuspidata Sieb et Zucc. SOLUTION: A needle leaf part of Taxus cuspidata Sieb et Zucc is extended, for example, with an organic solvent (preferably methanol, ethyl acetate, n- hexane or the like) and the obtained extracted solution is treated with an acid and/or a base and then fractionated by liquid chromatography to take out taxol(s), cephalomanin(s) being a precursor (intermediate) for taxol, a taxinin compound of formula I, a taxine compound of formula II, etc. The compound of formula I and the compound of formula II are new compounds. Consequently a large amount of taxane-type diterpenes capable of dealing with an increase in demand can be taken out while maintaining an environment.
