PURPOSE: A decoding method and a decoding apparatus thereof are provided to have compatibility with bit stream process codec on a conversion domain. CONSTITUTION: A decoding apparatus decodes a bit stream(910). The decoding apparatus partitions the decoded bit stream into n sub band signals(920). The decoding apparatus converts each sub band signal in a frequency domain(930). The decoding apparatus generates a composite audio signal by multiplying converted sub band signals and composite filter bank coefficients(940).
