<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing unit having a structure for sufficiently preventing the meandering of a belt, and an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing unit for fixing a toner image formed on a sheet includes a belt unit including a belt which is brought into pressure contact with the sheet, a reference roller which cooperates with the belt to hold the sheet, and a supporting element which supports the belt unit and the reference roller.
