<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake fluid pressure generating device restricted in a margin to be added to the amount of an operation stroke of a return coil spring as much as possible in consideration of a foreign material to be caught. <P>SOLUTION: In this brake fluid pressure generating device, the return coil spring 15 is assembled on the peripheral side of a boot 14 protecting a sliding part of a piston 12. In the return coil spring 15, parts except a retainer side end part are formed straight to form a straight part 15A and a retainer side end part is formed into a tapered shape reduced in radius as it comes closer to a retainer to form a tapered part 15B. A spring constant of the straight part 15A is set smaller than that of the tapered part 15B, and the amount of full stroke of the piston 12 is sufficiently assured for necessity by the amount of elastic deformation of the straight part 15A in the axial direction of the piston. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
