<p>The method involves detecting corrosion damages (12) at a planar workpiece (10) using an inspection system that comprises a radiation source (2) for heating the workpiece. Intensity images are recorded by a thermography camera (3). An evaluation unit (4) is utilized to examine time consequences of the intensity images. The radiation source and the thermography camera are arranged at opposite sides (11, 11 ') of the workpiece. The radiation source and the thermography camera are induced to measure the workpiece with complex geometries. The source, camera and the workpiece are induced by manipulators to measure the workpiece with complex geometries.</p>
