<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket for a vehicle which is used as a rear shelf provided behind a rear seat, as necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The basket 11 for the vehicle is arranged in a folded state in the center of a space of a luggage compartment 13 provided in the rear section of a vehicle 12, and covers an object (luggage) 34 in the luggage compartment 13. Each of both handle arms 36 and 37 of the basket 11 for the vehicle is formed into a shape to be locked to the side section 41 of the luggage compartment 13.
