<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that conventional heat-insulating coatings are mainly high-reflecting coatings; sufficient reflecting effects cannot be expected even without those having a luster or a light color such as white or gray; and the coatings are easily stained because of the light color to reduce reflecting performances when stained, with the result that the heat-insulating effects are reduced etc. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing the thermal conversion composition including: a thermal conversion particle powder-producing step of producing the thermal conversion particle powder comprising thermal conversion particles in which an organic material having a melting point of -30 to 75°C is fixed to the interior of voids or/and the surface of inorganic fine particles; and a kneading step of kneading the thermal conversion particle powder produced in the thermal conversion particle powder-producing step with a binder for forming a coating film having a higher melting point than the melting point of the organic material in a dried state after coating, and providing a coating material.
