<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus having a developer sealing member and a process cartridge for allowing the developer sealing member to be easily removed during use. <P>SOLUTION: A developing apparatus 19 includes: a developing chamber 13a provided with a developing roller 10; a developer storage 14c housing a developer; a connecting hole 14d connecting the developer storage 14c and the developing chamber 13a; a developer sealing member 21 for sealing the connecting hole 14d; and a grip attaching section 14h on which a grip section 24 is mounted to fix one end of the developer sealing member 21.
