PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lightweight soil which is lightweight, brings good plant growth, and is inexpensively obtainable from old paper and rice straw.SOLUTION: The lightweight soil is obtained by melting part of cut paper by soaking the cut paper in rice straw fermented liquor obtained by soaking cut rice straw fibers in water and fermenting, and dehydrating the product followed by rotationally granulating and drying. |
