PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and space-saving in-vehicle train control apparatus that is compatible with a plurality of train control systems. SOLUTION: The in-vehicle train control apparatus receives a signal containing information used for speed control from a ground facility corresponding to first and second train control systems to control the speed of a train. The in-vehicle train control apparatus includes a filter with a variable frequency pass band, an A/D converter, a receiving unit that outputs information needed for speed control from a signal, and a control unit. When the second train control system is used as a system switching notification, the control unit controls the frequency pass band of the filter in a control section under control by the first train control system so that signals from both first and second train control systems can be received in the control section. The control unit controls the frequency pass band of the filter in a control section under control by the second train control system so that a signal from the second train control system can be received in the control section.
