The method involves boring a cylindrical barrel to obtain final dimensions of the cylindrical barrel. A degradation of a surface state of an internal face of the cylindrical barrel is obtained by final boring to increase its roughness. The cylindrical barrel is bored to obtain final dimensions of a part of the cylindrical barrel. The degradation of a surface state of another part of the internal face of the cylindrical barrel is carried out. An activating bar is displaced at an interior of the cylindrical barrel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine (2) a device for machining of a cylindrical barrel, comprising a borer.
