PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscoelastic damper device which is further miniaturized while preventing an excessive force from generating out of a viscoelastic body. SOLUTION: This viscoelastic damper device installed between members constituting a building includes a first connection plate connected to one member side, a second connection plate connected to the other member side, and a third connection plate which is fixed to the first connection plate through the viscoelastic body and which is fixed to the second connection plate with fastening members. Elongated holes are formed in the second connection plate and the third connection plate in the mutually crossing directions, respectively. The third connection plate is attached to the second connection plate with the fastening members inserted into the elongated holes so as to be slidable on the second connection plate when a force generated from the viscoelastic body exceeds a specified value.
