CYLINDRICAL SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter from entering a cylindrical secondary battery from between a positive electrode and a separator to prevent short-circuiting in the cylindrical secondary battery. SOLUTION: A positive lead 16 of a positive electrode 11 is welded to a positive collector 31. An insulating layer 18 is formed on a first separator 13 disposed inwardly of and adjacent to the positive lead 16 on a positive-lead 16 facing side of the first separator 13 at a location facing the positive lead 16. Since the positive lead 16 abuts on the insulating layer 18, a clearance between the positive electrode 11 and an outer second separator 14 is made smaller. This prevents a foreign matter from entering from between the positive electrode 11 and the separator 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
