PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance-to-empty (DTE) calculation device that easily and properly estimates a distance-to-empty while reflecting the current traveling state, and to provide a vehicle having the same. SOLUTION: The DTE calculation device includes a power consumption rate calculating means 3 for calculating the latest power consumption rate per unit travel distance, a power consumption rate updating means 4 for updating a plurality of past power consumption rates recorded in a recording section and recording the updated power consumption rates in the recording section, and a DTE calculating means 5 for calculating a distance-to-empty from the plurality of power consumption rates recorded in the recording section and the residual capacity of a secondary battery. If predetermined conditions are met, the power consumption rate updating means updates all of the plurality of past power consumption rates recorded in the recording section into a predetermined default power consumption rate. Otherwise, the updating means updates the past power consumption rate which is the oldest in the past power consumption rates recorded in the recording section, into the latest power consumption rate.
