<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at improvement in power generation efficiency and a long life of a fuel cell by increasing the amount of gas to be supplied to the fuel cell without deteriorating the efficiency of a power generation system. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation system 1 has a gasifying part 10 which generates a fuel gas by reacting oxygen to carbon obtained by thermal decomposition of coal, a fuel cell which generates electric energy by moving oxygen ions generated in a cathode 201 to an anode 202, and an oxygen producing device 30 which produces oxygen to be supplied to the gasifying part 10 and the fuel cell. The fuel cell has a fuel gas passage in which the fuel gas to be supplied to the anode 202 flows and an oxygen passage in which oxygen to be supplied to the cathode flows, and the fuel gas generated in the gasifying part 10 is supplied to the fuel gas passage and oxygen produced in the oxygen producing device 30 is supplied to the oxygen passage, while the oxygen discharged from the oxygen passage without being consumed in the cathode is supplied to the gasifying part 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
