PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jacket for animals effective for restricting motion of the animal without giving pain or unpleasant sensation to the animal and enabling pulling of the animal taking advantage of fitness of the jacket applied around the body of the animal. SOLUTION: The jacket for animal includes a jacket body 9 having right and left leg passing parts 7, 8 for front legs 2, 3 around a body 1 of the animal extending across the right and left front legs. The jacket body is put on the animal in a front-opened state or pulling state. One or multiple connection anchor strings 15 are placed on at least a reverse side of a front cloth 12 in an area of the jacket body 9 corresponding to the back of the animal in a manner to have at least nearly symmetrical right and left direction components from the middle part of the corresponding area, while a connection tool 13 is connected to the middle part of the anchor string 15 and protruded out of the front cloth 12, and the anchor string 15 is fixed to the jacket body 9 with at least both ends of the string and both sides of the protruded position of the connection tool 13.
