The folding hood (6) has a hood covering and an interior panel for a passenger vehicle. The folding hood is adjusted between a closing position spanning a passenger cabin and an opening position laid in a receptacle. The interior panel has a middle part and a side part, which are held at longitudinal side or transverse side of the folding hood. The middle part has two lateral units with two edge sections and third and fourth edge sections in the closing position of the folding hood. An independent claim is also included for a method for installation of interior panel of folding hood.
