PURPOSE: A diaphragm type check valve is provided to reduce restriction on an installation place by being similar to a thick disk due to short length. CONSTITUTION: A diaphragm type check valve comprises a diaphragm(1), an upstream plate(2), and a downstream plate(3). The diaphragm comprises a border plate, a block plate, a spring plate, and a hole. The border plate forms the edge of the check valve. The block plate is placed inside the border plate. The spring plate connects the border plate and the block plate. The hole is formed between the spring plates. The upstream plate is formed with a thin groove(22) on a valve flange(21). A flow path(23) is formed at the central portion of the upstream plate. The downstream plate is formed with a deep groove(32) on a valve flange(31). A flow path(33) is formed at the central portion of the downstream plate.
