<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle capable of eliminating the possibility, that a power converter is unusually and excessively raised in temperature when a failure is caused, without increasing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A power transmitter 1 includes: a first power transmission path for transmitting power from an engine 2 and a motor 3 to an axle 4; a second power transmission path for transmitting power from the engine 2 to an output shaft; a first clutch C1 capable of coupling/decoupling the engine 2 and the first power transmission path; and a second clutch C2 capable of coupling/decoupling the engine 2 and the second power transmission path.
