A power-saving method, system and base station are provided by the embodiments of the present invention, said method comprises: closing a transmission channel corresponding to an OFDM symbol, or reducing power of the transmission channel corresponding to said OFDM symbol when no actual content is transmitted on said OFDM symbol of a sub-frame of an LTE system. By distinguishing the symbol carrying actual content and the symbol carrying no content, with regard to the symbol carrying no content, said method, system and base station can reduce power of the transmission channel at the time corresponding to the symbol or close the transmission channel at the time corresponding to the symbol, and thus the power consumption of the system can be saved. |
