PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of suitably encouraging a user to input attribute information when an unregistered subject is captured. SOLUTION: An image management device includes: a subject analyzing means which analyzes the subject contained in an image; a registered subject information managing means which manages the subject information of a registered subject; a subject attribute information managing means which manages the attribute information associated to the subject whose subject information is managed by the subject information managing means; a subject registration decision means which determines whether the attribute information associated to the subject should be registered newly or not based on the analysis results of the subject by the subject analyzing means; and an input/output means which encourages the user to input the attribute information of the subject determined that new registration is not required by the subject registration decision means.
