PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable capable of taking out optical fibers so as to cause transmission loss as little as possible.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 1 includes, inside a press-wrapping tape 4 cylindrically formed so as to mutually overlap both edges 4a and 4b thereof, an optical unit 2 covered with a jacket 3 which is formed into a cylindrical shape by extrusion-molding a sheath resin. The optical fiber cable is configured such that, a high bonding strength part 7 most requiring a force peeling from the jacket in a portion being in contact with the inner surface of the jacket is provided on the press-wrapping tape, and when the jacket is torn by pulling tear strings 9a, the part 7 is provided on one jacket piece 3A of the two-split jacket and also an overlap part of the press-wrapping tape is disposed toward the other split jacket piece 3B. |
