PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which allows easy replacement of component units provided on the rear side of the display device. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television 1 has a display panel 2 for displaying an image, and a plurality of component units (a main substrate 31, a BD/DVD/HDD unit 32, a power source substrate 33, and an inverter substrate 34) being targets of replacement at the time of maintenance are provided in prescribed positions on the rear side of the display panel 2. A back plate 3 covering the rear side of the display panel is provided and includes openings 40a to 40d in positions corresponding to installation positions of the component units respectively, and lids 41a to 41d covering the openings 40a to 40d, and the lids 41a to 41d are removably attached to the back plate 3.
