<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a base region of a columnar spacer can be planarized and the transmittance ratio can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate having pixel regions and a second substrate having color filters and a light shielding film, wherein a region where ends of the color filters adjacent to each other are not overlapped with each other is formed in a crossing region of a first light shielding film formed by overlapping the color filters and a second light shielding film formed of a black layer, and a spacer is formed in the non-overlapped region so as to stride over a boundary portion of the adjacent color filters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
