PURPOSE: An ultrasonic imaging device and a control method thereof are provided to conveniently inspect internal defects of an object and offer the inspection results as images. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic imaging device(100) comprises an ultrasonic radiation part(111-113), an ultrasonic receiving part(121-123), and an image processing part(130). The ultrasonic radiation part radiates ultrasonic signals to the inside of an objective. The ultrasonic receiving part receives the ultrasonic signals reflected from the objective. The image processing part creates an interior image of the object using the nonlinear characteristic of the ultrasonic signals. The image processing part comprises an image data generating unit(131), a waveform extracting unit(132), a parameter extracting unit(133), and an image generating unit(134).
