<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for a circuit board, which can be reduced in size and can secure: a connection in a soldered joint between a connecting portion of a terminal and a corresponding circuit portion; and an electrical continuity in the corresponding circuit portion. <P>SOLUTION: In the connector 1, the terminal 20 includes: a U-shaped portion 21 formed by connecting a contact arm 21A and an engagement arm 21B which are arranged along two side faces of a receiving concave portion 13, respectively; an extending portion 23 extending toward a circuit board along the external surface of a side wall of a housing 10 via a transition portion 22 extending from the engagement arm 21B of the U-shaped portion 21; and a connecting portion 24 that is formed continuously with the extending portion 23 and is connected to the corresponding circuit portion on the circuit board. The two arms of the U-shaped portion 21 have fixed portions 21A-2 and 21B-2, respectively, which are part of the two arms and are fixed to the internal surface of the concave portion. The other part of the arms can be elastically displaced.
