Provided is a planar body press device element which can press a planar body sufficiently, form an irregular shape accurately without collapsing the transfer shape or print shape, and does not require replacement of a roller itself when the surface of the roller is scratched.  A planar body press device element comprises a thin flexible metal endless belt traveling between a drive roller and a driven roller while being stretched, and one set or more of press means consisting of a flexible press roller which rotates at a circumferential speed synchronized with the traveling speed of the metal endless belt and presses a planar body on the metal endless belt and a backup board which is disposed so as to face the press roller and supports the press force of the press roller through the metal endless belt, wherein the press roller and the backup board are provided, respectively, with a fluid distribution channel.
