PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device capable of improving durability in a lock lever driving solenoid for regulating shift lever operation, and superior in operability of a shift lever. SOLUTION: This shift lever device is provided with a detent plate 5 arranged on a baseplate 2 and having a guide hole 4 for regulating a position in the rocking direction of the shift lever 3 by engaging with a detent pin 31, a lock lever 7 capable of locking the detent pin 31 when the shift lever 3 is positioned in a neutral range 12, a solenoid 6 for displacing the lock lever 7 to an opening position by operating in response to brake operation when the shift lever 3 is positioned in the neutral range 12, and a stopper lever 8 capable of holding the lock lever 7 in the opening position by moving by following the detent pin 31.
