<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device separating a recording material from an intermediate transfer body having high resistance without affecting transfer of toner image adversely even if a blank part at a head of the recording material is narrow. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body electrifying device 30 includes a tension roller 9 connected with ground potential and a bias roller 31 connected with power supply D30 and applies positive polarity voltages to the bias roller 31 to electrify a face to be overlapped on the blank part at a tip of the recording material P of an intermediate transfer belt 7 to have a polarity reverse to the electrifying polarity of the toner. In primary transfer parts TY, TM, TC, TK, voltage is applied to primary transfer rollers 11Y, 11M, 11C, 11K after a region overlapping on the blank part at the tip of the recording material P passes through them. Consequently, since the recording material passes through a secondary transfer part in an electrostatic charging state being favorable for separation of the recording material, curvature separation becomes easier than ever. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
