PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve writing performance of a water-based ballpoint pen.SOLUTION: This aqueous ink composition for a ballpoint pen includes at least water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a shear-thinning material, and a colorant, wherein viscosity at a shear rate of 500 (1/s) is 100 mPa s or less, tan δ at an angular frequency of 10-100 (rad/s) is 1 or less, and viscosity of a mixed solution of components other than the shear-thinning material is 5-10 mPa s. |
