<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical identification gate capable of simply, quickly, and accurately performing biometric identification by making use of finger vein information. <P>SOLUTION: The identification gate comprises a near-infrared LED light emitting indicating means for indicating the emission of light by a hand passing-through detection signal transmitted from a hand passing-through detecting means, a photographed image input means for entering photographed image signals transmitted from a photographing section, a hand pictographic image acquiring means for acquiring a hand pictographic image from the entered photographed image, a finger vein pattern clipping means for clipping a vein pattern of a finger from the generated hand pictographic image, an identity determining means for determining the identity of both a pattern and a template by comparing the clipped finger vein pattern and a pre-registered template, and a determination output means for outputting the decision of the identity or non-identity when determined to be identical or not identical. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
