摘要 <p num="1"><br/><br/><br/><br/>The system described herein consists of an isolator and a damping device. The <br/>isolator and damping <br/>device are used to isolate structures from earthquake induced forces and <br/>attenuate the remaining induced <br/>seismic forces to superstructure, in other words it mitigates effectively <br/>earthquake effects on structures. <br/>These devices extremely reduce transmitted seismic energy to isolated <br/>superstructures, so that protected <br/>structures by means of the devices described herein, have small or no damages. <br/>The isolator has a spherical <br/>Sliding Hammer fixed to ground via a footing, Rotating Anvil that responds to <br/>the moving Sliding Hammer <br/>by Rotating around the centre of a small concave or convex and moving slightly <br/>horizontally and vertically, <br/>causing the superstructure to move smoothly and slightly horizontally and <br/>vertically. The Isolator has a third <br/>part called a Hook that consists the top part of the Isolator and is fixed to <br/>the isolated superstructure.<br/>The damping device consists of a Bowl receives or causes vertical displacement <br/>from or to the <br/>superstructure, dampers and springs to dissipate more energy, restrict maximum <br/>horizontal displacements <br/>and help returning the superstructure to its stationary position in smooth <br/>way. The combination of high <br/>reduction in seismic induced forces, high reduction of superstructure <br/>vibration become achievable with these <br/>devices described herein. Consequently, structures that are designed for wind <br/>loads and isolated with the <br/>devices herein become protected to adequate amounts that allow minimal or no <br/>damages to the <br/>superstructures from both wind and seismic forces. That means continuous <br/>serviceability during and <br/>aftermath becomes achievable for the very most of the earthquakes and site <br/>characteristics combinations.<br/>
