PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which has both high development property and superior suitability for general printing.SOLUTION: The thermal recording medium includes, on its support body, a thermal recording layer containing at least colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and electron-accepting developing agent, and an underlayer provided between the thermal recording layer and the support body. The underlayer contains cellulose nanofiber of 0.5 to 20 nm in width and 0.1 to 15 μm in length, thereby achieving both high development property and superior suitability for general printing. |
