PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for more accurately aligning images having respectively different exposure time lengths and then synthesizing the aligned images.SOLUTION: When aligning a plurality of images captured in mutually different exposure time lengths in the exposure time order on a line, pairs each consisting of each two adjacent images on the line are set (S202). A common area between a long image and a short image included in a notified pair is specified on the basis of the distribution of pixel values of respective images (S203, S204). When the long image and the short image are superimposed to each other, a positional deviation correction amount for the long image is found out so that respective common areas may coincide with each other (S206). Image processing for the long image is performed on the basis of the positional deviation correction amount (S208). A plurality of images obtained by performing image processing for respective pairs are synthesized to generate a synthetic image and the generated composite image is output (S209). |
