A motor drive apparatus is provided with a plurality of power interruption detection thresholds fixed corresponding to installation environments of the motor drive apparatus, a selection circuit which selects a designated power interruption detection threshold from among the power interruption detection thresholds, and a comparison and determination circuit which compares a detected voltage of an AC power supply inputted to the motor drive circuit with the selected power interruption detection threshold and determines whether a power interruption has occurred. Consequently, the power interruption detection threshold for fixing a detection criterion of a power interruption of the input of the AC power supply can be selected corresponding to an installation environment, so that an abnormal-end process in occurrence of the power interruption of the input of the AC power supply can reliably be carried out in any installation environment. |
