<p>The calibration device comprises a measured sealed pocket (3) to receive a reference sample of a mixture of a carrier gas and a volatile compound, an injector to inject the carrier gas and the compound in the pocket, a unit for introducing the carrier gas and the compound in the injector, and an injection oven (2) in which the injector is present. A syringe (1) is arranged for injection of the volatile compound in the injector at a specific speed. A coil is provided around the oven to heat the carrier gas and introduce the carrier gas in the hot injector. An independent claim is included for a method of calibrating an ionization sensor (4) for determining the presence of volatile organic compounds in the atmosphere.</p> |
