The pedal has a body (1) comprising a base (4) fixed on a structure i.e. floor pan, of a vehicle i.e. motor vehicle, pivotingly receiving a rectangular plane shaped pallet (17). The pallet extends with respect to the body, where the pallet pivots by one of sides around a pivot axis (XX') of the base. The pallet comprises a hollow core off-centered with respect to a longitudinal axis of symmetry of the pallet co-operating with the body. Two small sides of the pallet are identical and cooperate with the pivot axis to define a hinge between the pallet and the body. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle comprising a floor.
