PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reading inspection method which can avoid the duplicate readings and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In the code reading inspection method, the specific code attached on the article that specifies the group of the article and the read-and-disposed code which is disposed after the reading are alternatively read and the particular code is stored only when it reads out the code which is inconsistent with the code stored immediately before, and based on this stored code it is determined whether or not the two or more kinds of articles are grouped properly together into one.
