<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for further improving magnetic shield effect, and to provide an image forming apparatus for mounting the device. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes an induction heating coil (52); a movable core (58) for forming a magnetic path around a coil; a route switching means (60) for switching a route of a magnetic field toward a heating belt (48) to a first route, for promoting the induction heating and a second route for suppressing the induction heating; and a magnetic regulation member (90) for shielding, without passing a magnetic flux in the second route, while allowing passage of the magnetic flux from the core to the belt in a first route, by being arranged over a switching region of a magnetic field route including both of the first and second routes. The magnetic regulating member includes a plurality of ring-like parts (90A, 90B, 90C) that match with the paper size of a plurality of conveyed passages, in a longitudinal direction of the core to be arranged to partition them, by being formed in a serial endless shape by an entire viewed in an axial line direction of the line material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
