PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canister mounting structure for a saddle riding type vehicle capable of making sufficient assembling property and canister heat countermeasure compatible. SOLUTION: The canister mounting structure for the saddle riding type vehicle includes an engine fastened to a vehicle body frame; an exhaust pipe connected to the engine; a fuel tank mounted to the vehicle body frame; a canister 201 for storing evaporated gasoline of the fuel tank; a purge control valve 203 for controlling purge of the canister 201; and a canister holder 209 having a mounting part of the purge control valve 203 and a mounting part 205 of the canister 201.
