The face has average speed shock absorbers (11) fixed to plates (9). Upper and lower end parts of each plate are rigidly fixed to a main longeron and a lower longeron of a motor vehicle. The plate is provided with internal cavities (33), each defined perpendicular to vertical direction by a continuous and entirely closed peripheral wall (35). The internal cavity extends along height direction of the plate, and is opened toward top and/or bottom. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising main longerons.
