PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal search device for increasing processing speed of enlarging or reducing a search window, and for theoretically causing no search omission. SOLUTION: A first search window and a second search window of certain sizes are arranged in a region on an input signal. Featured values of each search window are extracted. Similarity between the search windows is calculated by using the featured values. When the similarity is less than a predetermined threshold, the size of the search window and the position of the region are output. A scaling factor for enlarging or reducing the size of the search window is calculated so that the similarity can be prevented from becoming less than the threshold. The size of each search window is enlarged or reduced by the scaling factor. When the size of the enlarged/reduced search window becomes the predetermined size, the processing ends.
