<p>A packet retransmission control system which solves the problem of technology for packet retransmission control at the MAC layer, a lower layer than the TCP layer, being effective only with respect to a short flow where the data size sent with one TCP flow is small. The packet retransmission control system includes: an application processing module in which an application which performs communication processing is run; a retransmission control judgment module which, based on a predetermined rule, judges whether to perform lower layer, high speed retransmission control on the packets which have had retransmission requests from the application processing module; a packet processing dividing module which divides the packets into the packets judged to be targets of high speed retransmission control and the packets not judged to be the targets of high speed retransmission control; a MAC retransmission control module which, with respect to the packets judged to be the targets of high speed retransmission control, performs retransmission control on the transmitted packets, using a retransmission timeout that is shorter than the protocol of the transport layer; and an external output module which externally outputs the packet sent from the MAC retransmission control module or packet processing dividing module.</p> |
