PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor capable of ensuring vibration resistance of a rotor even in a brushless motor while preventing deterioration of efficiency of the electric motor. SOLUTION: A center A of an axial direction of a permanent magnet 9 is offset upper than a center B of an axial direction of a stator tooth 6. A rotor 10 is attracted downward by a magnetic force generated by a coil 8, and the vibration resistance of the rotor 10 can be ensured. A stator core 7 is formed by laminating a large number of thin plate cores 5, and a flange 11 extending to the outside of the axial direction is provided on an end of an inner diameter of the thin plate cores 5 arranged on upper and lower ends. Providing the flange 11 can ensure a large area of a portion where the permanent magnet 9 and the stator tooth 6 oppose to each other, even if the center A of the axial direction of the permanent magnet 9 is offset for the center B of the axial direction of the stator tooth 6, and deterioration of the efficiency of the electric motor 2 can be prevented.
