PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety confirming device using elevator operation, capable of communicating with a separately living family, by determining that some problem occurs in a resident, when a certain specific operation occurs, by daily checking of the operation state of a home elevator arranged at home of the lonely living resident. SOLUTION: This safety confirming device includes a resident home 1 provided with the home elevator 2, a control device 3 for controlling operation of the home elevator, a monitoring device 4 for detecting and reporting safety-abnormality by attaching a management number proper to the home elevator when detecting the existence of the safety-abnormality, by monitoring the existence of the safety-abnormality of the resident according to a preset condition based on operation information on the home elevator transmitted from the control device, and a monitoring center 5 for automatically notifying the effect of receiving a safety-abnormality detecting report to a telephone number or a mail address of a preregistered family home of the resident, when receiving the safety-abnormality detecting report from the monitoring device.
