<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature control system which responds more reliably to changes in a power supply voltage so that a heater keeps a predetermined temperature of a device. <P>SOLUTION: The system and method are used to supply electric power to a heating resistor 106 in order to control the temperature. A sensor block assembly (SBA) heater 102 controls the temperatures of an MEMS device in a sensor block assembly 114. A root mean square (RMS) pulse width modulation (PWM) control signal 108 is generated based upon an input voltage from a power supply 104, a switch 110 is controlled in accordance with the RMS PWM control signal, and electric power is supplied from the power supply to the heater resistor in accordance with control by the switch. Electric power to the heating resistor is controlled by the switch to provide a substantially constant value of electric power to the heating resistor for varying values of an input voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
