<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strike a balance between an increased capacitance value of storage capacity and an enlarged size of an opening region, for instance. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitive electrode (71) is composed of a transparent conductive material such as ITO and constitutes a pair of capacitive electrodes in the storage capacity together with a pixel electrode. The capacitive electrode (71) is placed over substantially the whole of an image display area and extends to the upper layer side of data lines (6) in the light transmittable opening region.
