<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the terminal warp of a rolled stock, by which the terminal warp is suppressed by predicting the direction and quantity of the terminal warp of a rolled stock accurately, which is caused when rolling is performed by making a circumferential speed different between upper and lower work rolls in order to roll a rolled stock with a rolling mill and total production efficiency including a straightening stage is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The curvatureκof the terminal warp of the rolled stock is predicted by the ratio of the projected length of a contact arc to an average plate thickness, which is predicted when rolling the rolled stock and a cross shear region rateαwhich is predicted when rolling the rolled stock and also the circumferential speed difference between the upper and lower work rolls is decided on the basis of the predicted value of the curvatureκof the terminal warp of the rolled stock. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
